Wonderoo V2 birth to potty nappy
The Wonderoo V2 Minky has a supersoft velvetty teddy bear feel. You’ll just want to cuddle baby even more!!
The new Wonderoo version 2 has improved fit and performance! It fits most babies from birth to potty training (approx. 8lb - 35lb/3.6kg - 15.9kg), and parents can easily adjust the absorbency to make the nappy super-trim for playtimes, and superabsorbent when needed.
The Wonderoo V2 Minky has a supersoft outer. Next to baby’s skin is the softest microfleece that allows wetness to pass through, away from baby’s skin, and "locks" it into the absorbent pad or "insert" inside. The fleece dries quickly, keeping baby dry and comfy. No need for a tumbel dryer. There is an opening at the back of the "pocket" formed by these two layers into which the absorbent pad or "insert" is easily inserted or removed.

The Wonderoo V2 is supplied complete with it’s own unique
3 stage insert systemTM:Stage 1: the small, contoured insert is made from three layers of microterry, and is soft and quick to absorb, ideal for small babies.
Stage 2: the large rectangular insert is made from six layers of soft, stretchy and fast-absorbing bamboo terry. Bamboo is an eco-friendly crop to grow and this fabric has been specially chosen to be highly absorbent and trim. The insert opens out for efficient washing and swift drying. It fastens closed with snaps to make it easy to insert into the nappy and keep it neatly folded when in use.
Stage 3: the two inserts can be snapped together to provide super-absorbency for older babies, heavy wetters or for night time. There are two (coloured) snap positions, enabling you to put the booster/small insert where it is most required for your child, often to the front for boys (blue snap), and to the centre for girls (pink (pink snap).
A number of other features of this nappy make it particularly comfortable for baby. The leg openings are "frilled", a design that helps to prevent leaks, but also ensures that the elastic is covered by the fleece inner layer without a bulky seam next to baby’s leg. The fleece inner layer is long at the back so that it can be left outside the nappy to give extra comfort for baby. Fleece is not absorbent and will not wick or cause leaks if left sticking out.
Sizing
These nappies are so adjustable that you can get a good fit for the majority of babies most of the time. For more information about sizing and adjustment.
Colour Options
The Wonderoo V2 may be outgrown sooner than potty training on larger or stocky toddlers. A free extender will be available shortly for those few babies that do outgrow it.
Popper fastenings will not rub baby or cause wear and tear of the fabrics, making these nappies durable. No seams or PUL against baby’s skin so very comfortable. A reliable pocket nappy for night time as well as daytime.
Suggested inserts: The Wonderoo V2 comes complete with it’s own 2-stage inserts (microterry and bamboo). Boosters will not be required for day time use. Some babies may require additional absorbency for night times.
What else will I need? No liners or waterproof wraps are needed with this system. Nothing else is essential to use this system. Flushable liners can be used if prefered to make solids disposal easier.
Care of WonderooCaring for your nappies is easy, but there are a few do’s and don’t to maintain their condition.
1. Take off a wet nappy and remove the insert and put it into your dry nappy bucket with the nappy. If the nappy is soiled stretch the fleece and shake any solids into the toilet. Most should just drop into the toilet - if there is still a lot of soiling on the nappy you will find this will rinse off by putting the washing machine through a pre-wash rinse cycle. If you would rather clean further before putting into the machine you can rinse more poo off by flushing the loo whilst holding FIRMLY onto a corner. Put the nappy and insert into your dry nappy bucket.
2. On wash day it is recommended that you run your nappies through a cold rinse cycle in your machine before washing.
3. Wash using a 40ºC or 60ºC wash cycle and rinse. Use only 1/2 the recommended amount of non-biological detergent to prevent build up of detergent on the fabric. There is no need to soak the nappies and they will last better if you don’t. There is no need to hot wash them.
4. Ideally hang your Wonderoos to dry outside (weather permitting or course!) or inside in a warm place but NOT directly on a radiator etc. They will dry in a few hours. You can tumble dry your Wonderoos if you need them quickly, but use the lowest heat setting to maintain their condition.
5. To make Wonderoos even easier to use store them snapped down into the desired position and ready-stuffed with an insert.
A few DON’Ts
Caring for your Wonderoos properly will keep them looking and performing their best. Below is a list of things that can harm your nappies and result in leaks.
- Don’t use a nappy barrier or balm cream with these nappies- it will leave a greasy residue on the stay dry inner which is very difficult to remove. If you want to use a cream because of severe nappy rash use our thick nappy liners to prevent cream getting onto the nappy or switch to a different nappy system to preserve your pocket nappies.
- Don’t use any bleach products. Chlorine bleach is a strong chemical and will break down the fibre in your nappies. If you have stains, hang your nappies in the sun, it works wonders! Failing this, use a little spot on stain remover prior to washing.
- Don’t use fabric softener. It will coat the fabrics, making them water repellent and will cause leaks! Be aware that if you use dryer sheets in your dryer for other laundry this can coat your dryer and transfer to your nappies. If you encounter leaks, try hang drying instead.
- Don’t wash or dry on HOT or HIGH HEAT!
The PUL layer (waterproof outer) is meant for low heat only! Preserve the life of your nappies by following this recommendation.- Don’t use tea tree oil in the laundry with Wonderoos. It may coat the nappy fibes and cause them to repel liquid.
